On a family visit to the beach yesterday, complete with our cheeky canine companion, we experienced an amazing sunny afternoon with a blindingly bright blue sky. We explored the rockpools as the tide receded and gathered a small handful of shells for inspiration back in my studio.  On such a calm day, the sea gently rolled in, lapping the shore, almost tickling the sand, reminding us how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful area, spurring me on to create my next seascape.
